I search trademark information – for cases, for clients, for items of interest – all the time. Day and night. In office and out of office. And I often use my phone or mobile device.

It is the middle of 2013. The USPTO has no mobile version of the USPTO.gov website. I have never seen an announcement about a pending mobile version. A search on USPTO.gov for the word “mobile” does not appear to return any results of mobile formatting of the agency’s website.

In the interim, I use the iPhone app I developed – Apptorney – to search trademarks at the USPTO. While it does not re-format the USPTO site and make it mobile, it does allow for easier navigation to get users to the TESS search apge.

Would you use a mobile version of USPTO.gov?  Perhaps private industry should find a solution if the USPTO is not going to.
