On December 1st and 2nd, 2015, the USPTO will host representatives of the “Trademark 5” (or TM5). The group is made up of the five biggest trademark offices in the world: United States Patent Trademark Office, European Union, Japanese Patent Office, Chinese Trademark Office and Korean Intellectual Property Office.  The group evolved out of the Trademark Trilateral, a cooperative framework that JPO, OHIM and the USPTO. The Trademark Trilateral was expanded to include KIPO and SAIC in 2011 and 2012 respectively, and the group was renamed the TM5.

The meeting will provides updates on the projects that the group and its members are working on. For a list of the projects, see http://tmfive.org/projects/.

Some (or all?) of the meeting should be open to the public. The schedule has not yet been released. Stay tuned for more details
