Many have gone on to work in the field of trademark law – we were fortunate to gather with several former interns and law clerks last month in San Francisco at the INTA conference!

Intellectual Property law firm located in Falls Church, Virginia is seeking part-time law student intern(s) for the Fall Semester of 2011. Interns will be expected to work approximately 15-20 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship; however, school credit may be arranged.

Erik M. Pelton & Associates, PLLC focuses on trademark and copyright protection for small business, including trademark and copyright applications, trademark disputes, matters with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, trademark clearance searches, and other matters.

Qualifications: An interest in Intellectual Property law; solid research and writing skills; and attention to detail and deadlines.

Duties will include: Preparation of trademark and copyright applications; preparing arguments and briefs regarding trademark application at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; assisting with discovery in litigation matters; researching international trademark laws.
