A few weeks ago, I visited a gallery in Manhattan hosting a touring exhibit from the Rolling Stones, called Exhibitionism. It was about the history of the band, their fashion, their culture and of course their music. It also featured a lot on their logo and the visual arts in posters, album covers, and stage design. The Stones are a huge brand – worldwide. And their tongue logo is incredible. Iconic. Unique. Simple. Bold. Flashy. It conveys a message immediately, even without any words.
Below are a few photos that I took at the exhibit capturing the power of the brand.
The name EXHIBITIONISM is also quite creative. It appears that neither the Stones nor the producer of the exhibit have applied to register the name in the US.
