Boston’s bike sharing program is called Hubway. Brilliant! The name of course is a play on “subway” and the fact that on nickname for Boston the “Hub.”
The logo is terrific too… it is based on the crank of a bicycle. And the colors of Hubway are primarily green – which makes sense since bike sharing help reduce energy usage.
And the brand has taken steps to protect itself with several USPTO trademark registrations:
Hubway – registered for ‘Public transportation services, also known as automated bicycle share service, namely, planning, organizing, managing and providing the temporary use of bicycles’
