A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of a fishing trip in northern Maine. And I realized – of course – brands are everywhere, regardless of what you are doing and how remote your location (Forrest City, Maine has a winter population of less than a dozen (“During the summer, the population of Forest City swells to 25 or 30 people”); and it is literally steps from the border with Canada). As I wrote and showed after a ski trip, marketers are smart – they put the trademarks in some seemingly odd places, but places where users are likely to see and interact with them.
