“March Madness” gets under way this week. Here are some of the more unique and creative team names (and trademarks) from this year’s tournament teams:

- Valparaiso Crusaders
- University at Albany Great Danes
- Western Kentucky Hilltoppers
- Akron Zips
- South Dakota State Jackrabbits
- Northwestern State Demons
- Bucknell Bison
These names are all quite creative and rare among sports team. I particularly love the the Jackrabbits, Zips, Billikens and Hilltoppers. They create unique commercial impressions that are fun and original. Will any of these teams make it to the “Final Four” in your bracket?
