I first contacted Erik to register the trademark for our Runabout™ Baby Strollers. We had been selling Runabouts™ since 1988 with just the ™ after Runabout™. We had never registered the name Runabout™. I searched the internet for a Trademark Attorney. I liked what I read about Erik Pelton. I contacted Erik and we talked. Then I sent him my info. A week later, Erik called me. He told me he did not share the feelings of the Portland TM Attorney! He assured me that he would be able to copyright the Runabout name that we had been using since 1988. And his fee was under $1000. Wow! That was Great News! I signed some papers and sent Erik the initial fee.I think it was a little over a year later when we received the Great News! Erik succeeded in registering RUNABOUT© for Berg Design Incorporated.In January, 2009 we signed a licensing agreement with one of the largest daycare stroller companies for the rights to use our Runabout© name and stroller designs. This most significant event would not have happened if Erik had been unable to protect our Runabout© Stroller name!We can not Thank Erik Enough!
