The first half of 2018 saw a large increase in the number of US trademark applications filed, 8% over the prior year’s first half. But the strong growth trend did not continue in 2019. USPTO trademark application filings for the first six months of 2019 appear to be up approximately 2%. This slowing in growth is a reversal of a trend that had lasted for several years (see below).
